Melissa is originally from Cleveland, Ohio where she was raised with her seven siblings. She is new to the Asheville area having moved here in the summer of 2016 after residing in the NJ/NY area for many years. She now lives in Weaverville with her husband and their four-legged children.  She enjoys acting, singing, creative writing and is a true-blue animal lover.  Professionally, Melissa paved her way by adapting a hardworking, detail-oriented ethic considering honesty, dependability and loyalty of utmost importance. She has a knack for identifying a customer’s as well as departmental needs aiming to provide invaluable support to her managers and associates. Melissa studied acting early on and enjoyed a professional career in musical comedy until a hedge-fund manager tempted her with a steady income and health insurance!  Suffice it to say, Melissa has an eclectic & diverse background.  She holds a B.S. in Parapsychic Science from the American Institute of Holistic Theology and has studied acting, creative writing and voice-over.


Melissa was previously employed for over 20 years at Mariner Investment Group, LLC, a New York based investment advisory firm where she worked her way up to the position of a Managing Director and Director of Investment Operations & Administration for the Fund of Funds Division. Prior to Mariner, she held managerial and administrative positions with Katz & Associates and Broadcast Image Consulting Firms.  During her ten-year involvement with Katz & Associates, Melissa also served as a Senior Dramatist, participating in the development, writing and on-site presentations of Affirmative Action and Medical Ethics programs for companies such as Huffman LaRoche, AT & T, Coca Cola, Club Med and more.
